Hi Gandree, I just found you because you are Lotd on Squidoo. Lovely lens. Then I came here. Sorry to hear you husband has died. I sure the Lord will be very near to you at this timeGive yourself time to grieve. Also spend time with good friends. I know you want to work for the Lord, but you must give yourself some space at this time. I am alone due to divorce but there is something wonderful about being able to devote one\'s time to the Lord. Bless you. Therre is no need to rush, the Lord will use uyou when and where he pleases, love Liz

I have not seen another entry, but this was a strong and nice one.
I enjoyed my little discussions with Paul.
He is missed even by the littlest of things.

God Bless you Gandree!

My boss and his wife are going through a particularly stressful time. They are facing financial problems. Her son is heading to Afganistan and their family situation is less ideal than they would like. You probably have or know of similar stories. The thing is, even though I could write my own laundry list of woes, I realized that it has been a long time since I have had a "bad" day. The farther your eyesight gets toward eternity, the less these things affect you. Not that you don't care, they just don't have the ability to affect your security. Being anchored in Christ means the storms of life can only toss your little boat so far. I am so thankful for the Peace that Jesus has brought to my life.

It occurs to me that this post might not make sense to someone who has never been taught much about the feasts of Israel. The growth of a believer and actually the church itself are mirrored in the feasts. At Passover, a lamb was slain and the blood put on the doorposts of the house which saved the people when the death angel passed through the camp in Egypt. We know that Jesus is the lamb slain from the foundation of the world and Passover equates to our salvation experience.

Pentecost deals with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. It's NT expression was when the Holy Spirit fell in the upper room (Acts 2). In Ephesians 1:13,14 Paul said that what they received was a pledge of the fullness to come. Thus perfection would not come until the manifestation of the third and final feast of Tabernacles.

Obviously, this is a very quick explanation. If you want to study it in depth, please contact me.
